Revised 13 November 2003
The K1EA DVP card has three jumper settings (JP3, JP4 and JP5) that select
IRQs 2, 5 and 7 respectively for the hardware. The DVPTSR also has a
parameter to specify IRQ and will accept any number. However, the number
must match the jumper setting on the DVP card itself. The default in both
the DVP card and DVPTSR is IRQ 7 (JP5), so most users are not even aware of
this possible variation. If you want to select IRQ 2 or 5, simply move the
jumper plug from JP5 to JP3 or JP4 respectively. Remember to also set the
DVPTSR IRQ parameter to the IRQ you set on the DVP card.
In addition, jumper JP2 sets the address--jumper installed being 300h and
jumper removed being 308h. 308h is the default in both the DVP card and
DVPTSR. If you install the jumper, then you must specify address 300h in
the DVPTSR.
